Every day for a thief, one day for the owner, as the popular saying goes. It might be the end of the road for this motorcyclist who was recently arrested by the Delta State Police Command for allegedly raping his female passengers.
Okada rider apprehended for raping his female passengers
DSP Bright Edafe, who happens to be the police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) in Delta state, while confirming the arrest, revealed that the 35-year-old motorcyclist, who is a serial rapist, was picked up after a series of intelligence gatherings by men of the Oghara police division.

The okada rider, who specializes in picking up young girls at night, was arrested around 9:30 pm on the 19th of March, 2021. According to the PPRO, the motorcyclist usually takes his victims into the bush, where he would rob them of their valuables and also rape them in the process.

He was able to perpetuate this evil with the use of dapper, which he used to threaten his victims. The suspect identified as Ovie Michael was arrested due to the collaborative effort of the police and the men of the armed forces, where they were able to recover 9 phones of different make from his possession.
Other items recovered from him according to Edafe include nine female handbags, an iPhone valued at ₦400,000, thirteen SIM cards, two pairs of glasses, two Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cards and five phone chargers. Edafe further disclosed that the case is still open, as the investigation is still ongoing before he is charged to the court.
