One of the worst nightmares of every driver is encountering wild animal crossing when driving at high speed on the highway. While it would endanger the life of the driver and other occupants in the car, it will also damage the vehicle. From a new report, two drivers had to manoeuvre their way to safety recently in Poland after encountering a herd of fast-moving deer.
The scary moment was caught on camera, where a deer ended up putting dents on the BMW 5-Series
The clip was captured by the dashcam, showing the moment the cammer and a black BMW 5-Series were moving down a 2-lane forest road where a deer came out of nowhere and ran directly into the path of the BMW car. The driver tried not to hit the deer by using the brake but got surprised when others followed suit.

Who knew what the deer were thinking as they were also scrambling to safety by running and leaping into the air so as not to collide with the BMW. It wasn’t a clean crossing after all as one of them landed on the trunk lid and rear window of the car. In a matter of seconds, the deer jumped off the 5-Series and ran back into the forest. From the footage, we could observe that a minimum of 10 other deer sprinted back into the forest after the car ordeal.
Looks like the owner of the 5-Series has some costly repairs to do as the rear quarter panel and trunk of the car were severely dented by the deer in distress. Luckily, the damage didn’t affect the rear window but the owner might need to check the front quarter panel of the 5-Series.
