According to report reaching us on Naijauto, five people were reportedly found dead on Tuesday in an auto crash along Lambata-Minna road in Bonu village, Gurara Local government area in Niger.

This information was disclosed by Mr. Joel Dagwa, who happens to be the Sector Commander of FRSC, while having a chat with the News Agency of Nigeria, in the state capital, Minna, on Tuesday. He made it known the auto crash involved two vehicles – a wagon Golf with a registration number ‘GWA 812 FM’ and a Sharon wagon with the registration number ‘MNA 320 XA’.
“The accident involved 21 people; eight male adults; four female adults; five female children and four male children,”
Dagwa revealed that eight passengers comprising 4 female adults and 4 female children sustained injuries from the accident, while 4 male adults and 1 female child lost their lives in the ghastly accident.

Speeding and overtaking are the number one culprits of tragic accidents
The sector commander said:
“Those that sustained injuries were taken to the Federal Medical Centre, Gawu, for treatment.
“All the five corpses have been deposited at the hospital’s morgue,”
According to the FRSC sector commander, a sum of ₦15,000 was recovered from the scene of the accident. He believes overspeeding and unnecessary overtaking accounted for the accident. Dagwa, however, vowed that the traffic agency will continue monitoring road users against dangerous driving and overloading. To avoid such mishap, he advised road users to adhere to traffic rules and regulations.
