The taxi driver drove his passenger to the police station for flouting the covid-19 rule of wearing a face mask
One of these adamant people according to report was a drunk passenger who was driven by a taxi driver in Vancouver, Canada to the police station on New Year’s Day for refusing to wear the face mask inside his car.
From what we learnt, the shocking incident happened on the 1st of January, 2021, when the cabman picked up a drunk passenger, who allegedly touched the driver’s face despite not wearing a face mask. As a result, the driver decided not to exchange words with the man. Instead, he drove him straight to the headquarters of the Victoria Police Department.

When they got to the station, the drunk passenger was forced out by the officers after refusing to exit the car when he was asked to. He was later taken into custody and fined on 3 charges such as failure to comply with the officer’s direction, failure to wear face mask and abusive behavior.
The strong-headed passenger also got a ticket for getting drunk in place, and was to stay in the police cell until he was sober. People living in the area according to the laws are required to wear face masks in public a place, which also extends to inside a taxi, in order to help fight the global pandemic.
