Byton discloses 323mile 5G-enabled Electric Crossover with a 50-inch Touchscreen

At the Consumer Electronics Show took place in Las Vegas, Byton has revealed its first drivable prototype and announced it will be beyond what we can imagine about a car.

The car comes adorned with facial recognition, emotion recognition and gesture recognition, to distinguish between the controller and the occupants and personalize the experience of the driver. At the center of the car, there is a touchscreen which is claimed to be the first one in the world. With this unique touch screen, the driver can always keep the interaction with the car in direct vision. It also has a large 50 x 10-inch touchscreen that stretches across the dashboard.

According to the latest car news, the vehicle features a sleek and smart design with flat antennas mounted on the roof, invisible door handles and a cluster of cameras replacing for side view mirrors.

The company informs that the all-new smart car will be the speediest car on the expressway as it offers the driver seamless connectivity with a bandwidth nearly 5 times faster than conventional systems - up to 1000 Mb/s, which is also almost 100 times quicker than a smartphone.

With this advanced equipment, occupants can relax with entertainments and convenience like playing games, chatting video and watching TV shows in the car. It is also capable of reading monitor blind spots, traffic signs and connects with other vehicles using an advanced image processing and a cluster of sensors.

The new car will be available in 2 variants including a rear-wheel-drive unit and a four-wheel-drive one. The first one is powered by a 71 Kw/h battery that is capable of traveling 248.5 miles and doling out 295 lb-ft of torque.

The later is equipped with a more powerful 95-kWh battery which offers a driving limit of up to 323 miles. This battery comes with a dual-engine setup producing 523 lb-ft of torque and being recharged to 80% within just a half of hour if using quick charge mode.

The carmaker schedules to launch the mid-sized SUV with 3rd level of autonomy in 2019 in China. The car has the starting price at $45,000 and will walk in the Europe and US market in 20120.
