As the automotive world keeps gravitating towards the era of electric trucks, a rising auto company, Bollinger Motors has decided to join the race by revealing a chassis cab model of its popular B2 electric truck. The automaker calls this new model the B2CC (Bollinger B2 Chassis Cab) and plans that it should become the world’s first-ever all-electric Class 3 chassis-cab truck platform.
Bollinger Motors unveils a multipurpose all-electric chassis cab that can be turned to any form of traditional truck
According to Bollinger, this new B2CC model will be offered in both 4-door and 2-door configurations as well as in cutaway-cab and full-cab variants. Also, customers will be given the opportunity to choose different wheelbase lengths and numerous other possibilities. This is such a clever move by the rising automaker as many commercial companies naturally love purchasing chassis cab trucks. This is of course because of the ease of customizations with third-party or aftermarket accessories.
This is how far electric vehicle technology has gone while we are still busy wondering if Nigeria is ready for electric cars or not.
The new Bollinger B2CC model can be customized to become like any desired traditional form of truck
Bollinger Motors stated in its recent press release that this new B2CC model can be converted for use as a traditional gasoline-powered truck for services like municipalities, first responders, park services, construction companies, and many more. You can basically attach the necessary accessories to convert this Bollinger B2CC into a tow truck or bucket truck and it should serve the purpose adequately.
This chassis cab is surely another intriguing electric vehicle model from Bollinger that we anticipate seeing it finally hit the road soon. Bollinger, however, says everyone will have to wait till late 2021 for this B2CC to be rolled out commercially.
Bollinger is yet to give any official pricing details of this coming B2CC model even though no one is expecting it to be anything cheap. Yes, due to the fact that both of the company’s B2 and B1 electric trucks carry a price tag of ₦48.7million ($125,000). So, the newly unveiled B2CC would probably carry a higher price tag because of its multipurpose capabilities.
