Tragedy was recently averted in Munich, Germany when a BMW M2 driver had a collision with an advertising column. The Munich fire department revealed that the event occurred on Leopoldstrasse when a 23-year-old driver sped away from a light. Consequently, he lost control of the BMW car and crashed into an advertising column.

Luckily, the young driver didn’t sustain any injury as it was reported by the fire department that he was able to get out of the car without any help. This is a bit shocking considering the kind of dent on the roof of the car that was apparently caused by the concrete used for the advert column.

The authorities have already opened an investigation into the possible cause of the crash. The BMW M2 performance model was eventually removed from the column and was towed away by a privately-owned towing company. While we would credit a job well done by structural engineers at the BMW, it is also important to educate people on the danger of reckless driving.
