And now, just in the last day before the 2019 New Year’s Eve, Naijauto team viewed back our archives and decided to highlight your day with those following wonderful beasts, from sports cars to SUVs, all unveiled this year. Here we go the best cars of 2018.

1. The Lamborghini Huracán Performante Spyder

This 631 horsepower convertible Hurrican opens its roof in just 17s at the top speed of 30mph without affecting the car operation. Besides, it can accelerate from a standstill to 62mph within just 3.1s before reaching the top speed of 202mph, and thanks to the use of carbon fiber material, the car weights 35 kilos less than the soft-top 4WD Huracan Spyder.

2. The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ

The Italian carmaker never disappoints us with their products. This year, the company also launched another beast, a V12 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ using 770hp V12 engine, which became the fastest car to finish the Nurburgring-Nordschleife.

The ₦235m supercar has the maximum speed around 217mhp and takes only 2.8 seconds to accelerate from zero to 62mhp.

3. The Rivian R1S SUV edition 2021

This new Rivian R1S SUV promises to directly compete with other luxury electric SUVs like Jaguar I-Pace, Model X, Mercedes-Benz EQC, and Audi E-Tron. It offers a carriage of 5 to 7 passengers and has three options of battery, which ensures you travel over 410 miles, 115 miles longer than that by the Tesla Model X.

The company has set the starting price of ₦26m and plans to deliver products to their customers in late 2021.

4. The Ferrari Monza SP1 and The Ferrari Monza SP2

The two windscreen-less Monza one-seat and two-sea version are designed on the basis of the classic convertible “Barchetta” racing cars in the 1940s and 1950s and just 500 loyal customers of Ferrari have a chance to own those beasts.

5. The BMW X7 SUV 2019 edition

The BMW X7 is the largest SUV of this car brand, set on par with the Lincoln Navigator, Cadillac Escalade, and Mercedes GLS. Especially, the Execute Package adds one among features of the Rolls-Royce Phantom, a panoramic roof using LED lights, which will light up like a starry sky after the day turns dark. Meanwhile, automatic doors and electric rear-window sunshades are equipped for the Premium Package.

6. The 2020 Jeep Gladiator

The Gladiator will become a head-to-head competitor with other off-road vehicles such as the Ford Ranger Raptor and the Toyota Tacoma TRD.

The new off-road Jeep has the ability to drive through a water depth of 2.6 feet, compared with 2.5 feet and 3.3 feet of all-electric Hummer and Rivian R1T pickup respectively.

7. The McLaren Speedtail

McLaren produces only 106 of this 1035hp center-drive model, so not many people have enough of their bravery and luck to throw down ₦969m for this Hyper GT. Customers are offtered with an option for 18 carat Platinum or Gold badges, can move to 186mph from a standstill in 12.8s and speed up to 250mhp.

8. The Bugatti Divo Hypercar

9.  The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque SUV edition 2020

The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque 2020 substitutes for the 1st Evoque SUV generation built in 2010. This SUV features Velar-style flush doors, and high-tech equipment such as 10-inch touchscreens, a 4G Wifi hotspot, etc, but more especially, it’s the first car applying the “ClearSight Ground View” technology in the world.

It has the starting price of ₦120m and the number changes as following customers’ requirements.
