Fortunately, press reports have confirmed that no one died in this road accident that happened last Sunday. Terver Akase, the Special Adviser to Governor Ortom on Media and Publicity has confirmed this information in a public statement issued on Sunday.

Benue Governor’s special adviser, Terver Akase revealed that governor Ortom had been safely escorted to Abuja airport by his convoy before this crash occurred. He disclosed that the vehicles in the convoy were returning to Benue State when one of them got involved in the crash. The affected vehicle reportedly rammed into certain golf that was very close to the Karu Flyover along the -Abuja-Nyanya Keffi road.

Terver Akase, the special adviser to Governor Ortom has confirmed that “no life was lost” in the recent road accident involving the governor’s convoy. He narrated that Governor Ortom was initially accompanied by the same convoy to the airport in Abuja. The governor was said to be going on a trip to the United Kingdom, hence the reason for travelling to Abuja. As a matter of fact, Governor Ortom has been confirmed to have arrived in the UK safely as of the time of writing this report. He has also revealed that many concerned Nigerians have been calling him after hearing about the accident involving his convoy. The good news is that the governor is safe and also no one died in the convoy that got involved in the crash.
