Bill Gates used to be arrested for over-speeding in 1979
Four years after Microsoft was founded, he was caught over-speeding in his newly-acquired 1979 Porsche 911 and imposed with 3 fines in a single night.
It was in 1979 that this happened on New Mexico’s road the time Microsoft was still based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The young founder was too excited with his newly-acquired Porsche that he decided to take it to a race and exceed the legal speed limits.
The Microsoft co-founder Paul Ellen had to pay for an amount to get Bill Gates on bail.
