Many Nigerians have been showering praises on a Lawmaker in Bauchi state who recently showed concern for youths in his constituency by giving out resources to empower them. News reports claim that the lawmaker distributed brand-new tricycles (Keke Napep), motorcycles, cars, and other items to the youths on Monday 27th July 2020.
Meet Senator Halliru Jika – the lawmaker who recently shared several items to empower youths in his constituency
A press report by Vanguard states that the Senator Halliru Jika recently empowered the youths in his constituency by sharing the below items to them:
- New cars (55 units)
- New motorcycles (96 units)
- New Tricycle (83 units)
- Brand-new generator sets (50 units)
- New sewing machines (130units)
- New Water pumps (40)
The news report also stated that the senator gave out ₦10,000 cash to each beneficiary of the empowerment scheme. He also reportedly donated ₦3million cash to about 300 women in the 6 Local Government Areas of his district to help them start or maintain any small business they choose.
Senator Jika reportedly executed the empowerment project mainly because he wants to encourage women of his community to be self-reliant and to also reduce the alarming unemployment rate among youths.

Senator Halliru Jika is an honorable member of the Nigerian 9th National assembly representing Bauchi Central. He is a 44-year old politician and businessman who has once served as a member of the Nigerian House of Representatives between 2015 and 2019. According to Wikipedia, he is popularly known as “Dokagi”.
