1. Audi PB18 e-tron introduces movable driver seat
Once again, Audi has brought its name to the spotlight as it has unveiled its recent model - the Audi PB18 e-tron. It may not be as elegant as the R8 but this electric supercar does things that even the R8 cannot do.

Who would have known that a day would come when the driver’s seat and cockpit will be movable and can be located at any position in the car. That is exactly what the Audi PB18 e-tron does, with its inner monocoque frame, which can be slide left or right. In this form, the seat including the steering wheel, pedals and other instruments all move to the centre of the vehicle thus making it possible for you to slide your seat to any side you wish and still allow space for your passengers.

2. How does this driving seat concept work?
The Audi PB18 e-tron concept was designed by Audi designer, Gael Buzyn in Malibu. This driving concept is made successful as a result of a drive-by-wire system cutting off the link between the steering wheels and the tire wheels of the vehicle hence, making room for digital connections and communications. The fascinating part about this vehicle’s design is that wherever the car seat happens to be positioned, it doesn’t really matter as you will get a view of not only the road ahead but also the road beneath your feet. This is because the vehicle’s grille has been designed to be transparent so that view that is normally blocked by the hood of your car is now made wide open.

Their rare performances are as a result of their unique energy storage arrangements. They come with a rare battery system. Their solid-state technology helps in saving weight. This is evident in the weight of the car, which is 1550 kg as against this present day’s V10 R8’s 1590 kg even though it is 100mm wider longer than the R8 and also wider than it is.

The avenue it gives you to see the ground underneath you makes it possible for you to know exactly where your wheels are. Its electric powertrain enables it to jettison its hulking engine upfront permitting different types of moves. It rather comes with a 95 kWh battery package (just as it is found with the Tesla concept) which covers up to 310 miles radius. The battery can also be easily refilled with an 800- volt charger just within 15 minutes.
