Upon extending a partnership with FC Bayern Munich until 2029, German automaker – Audi is now set to begin the installation of charging points for electric vehicles at the club’s training grounds. Earlier this week, Audi executives, FC Bayern Munich chairman alongside a board member jointly signed off the project which is reportedly going to include a total of 38 charging points.

One of the intriguing facts about the famous Audi auto brand is that the German automaker loves to partner with international sports clubs. One of such partners includes the popular European football club – FC Bayern Munich, which Audi recently extended its partnership with, for another 9 years.
Following the extension of an existing partnership, the automaker claims that it will install 38 different charging points for electric vehicles at the club’s headquarters before the upcoming Bundesliga season start.
Also, the automaker revealed that every FC Bayern Munich player would be driving a new Audi e-Tron electric SUV to train, starting next football season.
The Audi e-Tron SUV comes standard with a 150kW battery pack but recently the automaker unveiled the Audi e-Tron S (Sportback) and Audi e-Tron S variants which pack the same 370kW system. This new setup gives the two new variants a total power output of 496hp and 717 lb-ft of torque which helps to achieve a 4.5 seconds acceleration time from zero to 60mph and a 130mph top speed.
