According to fresh media reports, three suspected motorcycle robbers were set on fire on Monday evening by a group of angry residents around the Ayobo area of Lagos State.

The mob meted out jungle justice on the three suspects, for allegedly stealing two brand new motorcycles at Olorunshola, Ayobo, Ipaja in Lagos State. They set them ablaze after lynching them. An eyewitness who pleaded anonymity revealed that the suspects took to their heels after allegedly stealing the motorcycles.
The witness added that some commercial motorcyclists chased the suspects and caught up with them along Koloba Road, off Alaja Road, Ayobo, Ipaja,Lagos. The source also stated that the suspected thieves were three in number but two were caught and lynched to death while the other one was able to escape at first instance.
The witness disclosed that the remaining one that scampered to safety was later caught in one of the streets in Alaja and wheeled down to join the other two before they were all set ablaze. According to further reports, the thieves inflicted injuries on some people while attempting to flee the scene.
The injured victims were taken to an undisclosed hospital for immediate medical treatment. The police officers were later spotted at the scene after the suspected robbers had been lynched to death by the residents.
