The Criminal Investigation Dept of Adamawa Police command has finally confirmed the arrest of a notorious ex-convict that allegedly attacks and injure motorists while also snatching their cars. DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the spokesperson for Adamawa state police confirmed this update via a recent press statement issued on Tuesday 12th of January 2021. The statement revealed the suspect’s identity as one 36-year-old Kiya Peter from Hupuba village in Gombi LGA. He is said to have been apprehended by the police after he recently attacked a man named Sunday Stephen around Federal Housing Unit at Girei LGA.

According to press reports, Kiya Peter allegedly attacked Sunday Stephen on Monday 11th of January 2021 and inflicted severe injuries on the innocent man. After the assault, Kiya Peter reportedly stole Stephen’s Peugeot 307 compact car and left him covered in blood. Media sources claim that reports of this gruesome incident led the state CID personnel to swing into action and eventually apprehend Kiya Peters while also recovering the stolen Peugeot 307 car.

What’s more “annoying” about Kiya Peter’s case is the fact that Nigerian Police records revealed that he has been in jail since 2015 for murdering a certain driver and stealing his car. The records further show that he recently managed to escape prison last year and has been on the police “Wanted” list ever since then. So, it is even good that his recent crime has helped the police to track him down and apprehend him once and for all.
