Despite several clamping down on fraudsters by Nigerian security agencies, many Nigerian youths still keep pursuing this “evil” path. A new report reaching us claims that Abuja EFCC operatives recently seized a Toyota car and 41 ATM cards from an arrested Benue University graduate. The suspect was reportedly apprehended last Wednesday around the popular Fruits market in Wuse Zone 2, Abuja. EFCC operatives got hold of him after getting credible intelligence reports about his whereabouts.

The young man seen in the above picture was apprehended by the EFCC in Abuja on Wednesday 29th of June 2022. However, his case was made public after the EFCC paraded him yesterday, July 5. He is said to be a 27yrs-old man whose name is Nwamannah Chuks Ifeanyi. Press reports claim that the suspect is a native of a town in the Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni LGA of Rivers State. The public statement released by the EFCC reveals that Ifeanyi was arrested for fraudulent activities involving ATM cards. A certain Toyota Venza SUV and a total of 41 ATM cards with different people’s names were found in his possession during his arrest.

The young man arrested by the EFCC in Abuja with 41 ATM cards has been identified as a Political Science graduate of Benue State University. It was also revealed that he is an agent for a certain soccer betting company as well. The EFCC alleged that the young man uses the various ATM cards in his possession for a fraud called “ATM Chargeback”. This scam involves him withdrawing money using the ATM cards but he will later call the banks to lodge a dispute and request for reversal.
