From the latest media reports reaching us, at least seven people were killed, while two sustained varying degrees of injuries in a ghastly car accident that happened this week along the ever-busy Minna-Suleja highway in Niger State.

According to report from a reliable source, the unfortunate incident involved a gulf salon car with registration number KTU 506 BK and a Mazda salon car on Thursday, 22nd of July, 2021.
It was gathered that five of the victims died right on the spot while the two gave up the ghost at the time when they were rushing them to the hospital. Two people also suffered severe injuries and were taken to a private medical center in Lamatta, in Gurara local government area of the state.
The unfortunate incident was said to be caused by a violation of the speed limit
An eyewitness, whose identity has been concealed, revealed that the incident happened between a kwakuti and lambala when the two vehicles, both moving on opposite direction, were involved in a head-on collision.
While they are yet to reveal what led to the accident, the eyewitness stated that the accident was as a result of speeding inside a heavy downpour in the early hours of the day.
The villagers were present at the accident scene to assist the FRSC officials in evacuating the bodies
One of the villagers who was present at the accident scene to help the officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps in removing the corpses and injured people, revealed the condition of the two vehicles, which have been damaged beyond repairs. The corpses of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue of the sabon wuse General Hospital.
