Tragedy struck recently as four people were confirmed dead in a ghastly car accident that happened last Sunday along Ilorin-Ogbomosho Road in Kwara State.
Four people lost their lives while many were left injured in the road accident along Ilorin-Ogbomosho route
From the eyewitness’s report, the road accident took place from a horrific collision involving a commercial Toyota Hummer Bus with registration number FFA 717 YR and a truck. The accident was said to be caused by excessive speed. According to the report, some of the passengers inside this bus at the time were burnt beyond recognition.

The Federal Road Safety Corps, while confirming the road accident, revealed that four people, comprising 2 males and 2 females, lost their lives while they were unable to recover any item at the scene of the crash.
The FRSC also stated that 7 people, including 3 males and 4 females, suffered varying degrees of injuries, and were being rescued from the accident. In all, the agency disclosed that 18 passengers, including 10 males and 8 females, were involved in this unfortunate accident. As a result, the operatives of the FRSC rushed to rescue the victims of the accident, where they were spotted with an emergency ambulance.

Jonathan Owoade, who happens to be the Kwara Sector Commander of FRSC, confirmed this horrific road crash and further disclosed that 6 people that were part of those involved were taken to the State General Hospital in Ilorin. He further revealed that one person was taken to a private hospital located at Eyenkorin. The remains of the deceased had been deposited by FRSC officials and the Police team at the State General Hospital morgue.
