2018, two years ago, saw Honda revealing a superbly upgraded Honda Insight hybrid at the New York Auto Show. This heralded a fresh style for Honda’s mid-range hybrid. The Insight is in a sweet spot, nestled smack between big sister, the Honda Accord, and small bro, the Honda Civic.
2021 Honda Insight comes with exciting upgrades in safety features
This position gives the Insight a really comfortable position as far as the automaker's sedan lineup is concerned. Fast forward to 2021, and even in the midst of the Coronavirus inspired auto shakedown, Honda is giving us something to take our minds off the present global troubles.
What Honda has remarkably done is invest in some amazing fresh safety gizmos as standard, but alas, only for higher trims of the Honda Insight. Not fair? Well, that's what consumer reports are for, so hit those emails. Anyway, despite the Corona paralysis across world auto, this new model will hit dealers from the 25th of March, 2020.
2021 Honda Insight new features
Talking about the new safety features, you've got, according to trims:
||EX and Touring trims.|
The higher the trim, the better the feature you get
The 2021 Honda Insight is a 3 trim model, following Honda's decision to reduce trims. They are the LX trim, the EX trim, and the Touring trim. As a plus, customers will be glad to hear about Honda Insight's new rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s Top Safety Pick for 2020.
Good things don't come free, although they could be relatively cheap. The new bonus safety and tech gizmos will set you back about $500 or ₦180,000 more than the past 2020 models for the two highest trims. For the base model, the Honda Insight LX, the price remains at status-quo and is not changed. It carries the old $23,885 ( plus $995 in destination charge) or ₦8,956,800. The next in line EX trim will fetch $25,765 (₦9275400), and finally, the top man himself, the Touring trim starts at $29,795 (₦10,726,200). For Nigeria, additional charges for clearing may be applicable.
