Toyota is undeniably one of the top auto brands with the highest number of vehicles listed for sale here on Naijauto.com as well as in physical auto marts all over Nigeria. But how safe are Toyota cars?
Well, to speak for itself, Toyota let the IIHS “crash test” its new 2020 Toyota Corolla sedan after which the car has now earned the second spot on the overall IIHS ranking of “Top Safety Pick” vehicles. This means that it is the second safest car to ride on the IIHS’ overall list and this also matches the similar high safety IIHS ranking of the previously tested hatchback version of the new Corolla. Now you can guess how safe Toyota cars are, can't you?

This tested 2020 Toyota Corolla was able to earn such a high rating after being put through different extreme crash tests like the very difficult “passenger side small-overlap” crashes and many more.
The sedan’s emergency braking (automatic) and its forward collision warning system also earned the new Corolla “Superior” ratings as they all performed excellently during the crash tests even at a 25mph speed.
