The 2019 Electric EQS and the 2020 S-Class Mercedes-Benz are two luxury sedans that would seem at first to be strong rivals, except for one thing. Check more details below!

Talking about the sales of the best luxury sedans manufactured by the famous automaker, Mercedes-Benz, the newly introduced Mercedes-Benz Electric EQS and S-Class can’t be lauded to highly, considering their features; one runs on electric supply while the other is gasoline-powered, like most other normal vehicles. This duo comes with super-improved comfort, compatibility, durability, etc. to match up with the competition. Let’s consider comparing both models, by taking a look at their performance and what they possess.

Both the EQS and the S-Class are premium Benz sedans

1. Overview of 2019 Mercedes-Benz Electric EQS

Mercedes has joined other carmakers like Lexus with its Lexus UX 300e to make its first all-electric car. Unlike Lexus's EV which is a crossover, Mercedes chose to make a sedan. The Mercedes-Benz Electric EQS is a comfortable and luxurious sedan that draws its inspiration from the world of luxury yachts. It belongs to the new concept of the family of battery-electric vehicles manufactured by Mercedes-Benz; it was showcased during the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show. The electric EQS comes as a result of its first model being previewed at the Paris Motor Show in 2016.

2. Overview of 2020 S-Class Mercedes-Benz

The 2020 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, formerly known as SonderKlasse (meaning “Special class” in Germany) is a full-size luxury sedan manufactured by Mercedes-Benz. The S-Class is ranked as the world’s best-selling luxury sedan that premiered in 2014 and has won several awards in the luxury sedan segment. Also, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is an outstanding car that is available in coupe, sedan, and convertible body styles which offer powerful engines that deliver smooth and comfortable rides.

Thinking of selling or buying any of these two vehicles? Here are some features to be considered before making that choice.

The S-Class has always been the zenith of Mercedes sedans, and 2020 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is no different

3. Performance specs of Mercedes EQS & S Class

The Electric EQS Mercedes-Benz is an electrically powered vehicle that comes with hybrid technologies like lithium-ion electric-powered horsepower; operating within a 700 km range before recharge, compared to the S-Class Mercedes-Benz that runs on the conventional engine specs of a turbocharged V6 engine with about 362 horsepower and 13-19 city and 21-38 highway fuel economy rating. Both vehicles have the same transmission and are designed for an all-wheel-drive experience.

4. Styling features of Mercedes EQS & S Class

Using the interior and exterior design in selling the 2019 Mercedes-Benz Electric EQS and the 2020 Mercedes-Benz S-class, it can be seen that the two sedans have nearly similar things in common like the spacious luxurious comfort they both portray; but with the S-class coming with a more packaged arrangement for child care in the seating aspect.

Also, all the interior and exterior design of the 2019 Mercedes-Benz Electric EQS is made of a digital spectrum, for example, its exterior lighting arrangements and interior wrap-around dashboard build. However, looking at the 2020 Mercedes-Benz S-class, its interior and exterior design has a refurbished outlook but still in the same circle of the S-class models. The important thing to note is that both boast of the level of excellence and luxury Mercedes customers have come to expect.

The interior design of the luxury sedans is Mercedes standard
