18 Yahoo boys in Lagos arrested, 4 expensive cars, charms, phones recovered

Yahoo boys are so rampant in every corner of Nigeria. The latest raid by EFCC arrested 18 Yahoo boys in Lagos! Check them out!

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Lagos Zonal Office arrested 18 suspected Yahoo boys during an early morning raid in Lagos.

Reports reaching Naijauto say, the suspects were fished out from their hideouts on Friday at three various locations around Alagbado area, Lagos State. The arrest was a sequel to intelligent reports from the public about the fraudulent activities of the suspects.


The 18 Yahoo boys paraded by EFCC

Their names were given as follows:

  • Abass Mukhtar
  • Olakunle Araoyinbo
  • Enitan Adekunle
  • Christmas Yole
  • Christmas Gabriel
  • Christmas Emmanuel
  • Victor Kenneth
  • Harrison Obayogbono
  • Adewale Musibau
  • Idris Abdulazeez
  • Oluwajuwon Shofuyi
  • Oyeku Adeoye
  • Okeke Chucks
  • Omilana Adeleke
  • Peters Olamide
  • Abayomi Jones
  • Usman Olalekan
  • Korede Adetule

Five of the internet fraudsters were said to have made an attempt to escape being arrested by hiding inside the ceiling of the house they were holed up in. However, they were beaten at their own game and were immediately nabbed by the operatives.

The items recovered from their possession include charms, mobile phones, laptops and five expensive cars - Toyota Camry 2007, Toyota Camry 2004, Toyota Camry 1999, Hyundai Sonata and Honda Pilot.

EFCC said the internet fraudsters will be charged to court soon.
