From the new information reaching us, 11 people were confirmed dead in an auto accident in Offa, Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State. The road mishap occurred last Wednesday around 10:27 am, involving a Toyota Camry car and a tricycle, on the Offa-Ojoku Road.
Several people lost their lives in the recent auto accidents in Kano and Kwara
According to the report, the Toyota Camry, driven by a mechanic, crashed into the commercial tricycle, killing 3 passengers and a female trader by the roadside.
From the eye witness’s report, some students of the Federal Polytechnic in Offa were inside the tricycle at the time of the accident, where they sustained several degrees of injury. The witness further revealed that the car was razed down by the angry mob in the area, who blamed the auto mechanic for driving recklessly.
Jonathan Owoade, who happens to be the Kwara State Sector Commander of FRSC, revealed that the dead bodies of the victims have been deposited in the morgue of the General Hospital located in Offa. He further disclosed that those inflicted with injuries were taken to the hospital for treatment and they are currently in stable condition.

According to the Sector Commander, other agencies such as the Nigerian Navy, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps and Nigeria Police were present at the scene of the accident to offer assistance. He stated that 8 people were involved in the fatal road crash around Awrab Hotel Junction.

Meanwhile, in another related story, 7 people have been confirmed in the road crash at Mundubawa Junction, on the Hadejia Road, Nassarawa Local Government area of Kano State. This information was revealed recently by the state’s Fire Service.
According to Saidu Muhammed, who happens to be the PRO of the agency, revealed that the unfortunate incident happened on Wednesday. From what he said, a trailer with plate number XC954GWL collided with a truck without plate number.
The victims of this fatal collision were confirmed dead by the doctor on duty at the Sir Sanusi General Hospital. Muhammed further stated that two people survived the accident with injuries and are currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
