We’ve seen talented artists who have emerged and achieved success in their music careers both at the home front and international scenes. David Adedeji Adeleke known by his stage name Davido was born into the wealthy family of Dr Deji Adeleke, co-founder of Adeleke University Osun State. Davido's success in his career has shown that one can come from a rich background and still make their own money. Davido, who was born in Atlanta USA on 21st November 1992, is a singer, songwriter, and producer.

He shot into limelight after his hit single "Dami Duro" was released in 2012. The song was from his debut studio album titled "Omo Baba Olowo”. In January 2016, he signed a recording deal with Sony Music and later started his own record label, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) the same year. His record label has fast-rising musicians Mayorkun and Peruzzi currently signed. Between 2013 and 2015, Davido clinched Headies' Next Rated Award after successfully releasing hit songs back to back.

2. Timaya - 2019 Rolls-Royce Cullinan worth ₦117 million

Inetimi Timaya Odon, popularly known as Timaya, is a singer and songwriter who was born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Growing up in a large family, Timaya is the youngest out of 15 siblings. The King of Dancehall was part of Eedris Abdulkareem's music group where he was a backup singer before going solo on his career. Timaya’s first song titled True Story was released in 2005. This was followed by others like "Gift and Grace and De Rebirth".

Timaya started his own record label, The DM label in 2012 and has been able to coach popular music artists like Patoranking and Runtown. He has also won several awards, among which is the "Best Reggae/Dancehall" award.

3. Olamide - Lamborghini Aventador worth ₦218 million

Baddo master, Olamide Adedeji was born and bred in Bariga Lagos State in March 1989. His infusion of the Yoruba language into his songs has endeared him to a lot of fans, especially from the western part of the country. His journey into music began in 2000. Olamide, who said music is his hustle, world recorded his first studio album "Eni Duro” with Coded Tunes label headed by Toni Payne. He started his own label YNBL which he now uses to raise other upcoming artists.

Olamide is one of Nigerian's most promising music artists. He has bagged some awards like "Album of the year", "Best indigenous artists" as well as many nominations. 4. Burna Boy - Rolls-Royce Dawn worth ₦200 million

Burna boy is currently one of the Nigerian music artists that are making waves in the international scene. Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu Rex, is a singer, songwriter, and rapper born on 2nd July 1999. He's an indigene of Mbama Port Harcourt in Rivers State. His rose to stardom took effect in 2012 after he released the lead single "Like to Party" which was from his first studio album titled L.I.F.E and recorded under Aristokrat Records. He later founded his own record label, Spaceship Entertainment in 2015. In 2017, Burna boy signed a recording deal with several international labels like "Warner Music Group" and "BadHabit/Atlantic Records".

5. Phyno - Rolls-Royce Phantom worth ₦204 million

Phyno, whose full name is Chibuzo Nelson Azubuike, is one rapper that's well-known for rapping in the indigenous Igbo language. The music star who will turn 34 years on 9th October is an indigene of Anambra State and always has a passion for music which started at a younger age. He got his stage name "Phyno" from "Phenomenal'.This was during his high school days where a friend complimented his performance describing it as phenomenal.

Although Phyno obtained a degree in Public Administration from the Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Enugu, he pursued his passion. He went into music production in 2003 and started rapping in 2010. His debut studio album "No Guts No Glory" was recorded in 2012. Tiwa Savage is one of Nigerian's talented female artists. She’s a songwriter and singer who started her music career as a backup vocalist for American artists like Mary J. Blige and George Michael. Born on 2nd February 1980 in Lagos State, Tiwa relocated to London at the age of 11 for her high school education. She had her tertiary education at the University of Kent where she studied Accounting and went further to obtain a degree in Music from Berklee College of Music.

Tiwa moved back to Nigeria after seeing the rapid growth the Nigerian music industry is experiencing. Daniel Oyebanjo Oladepo, popularly known as D banj and Koko master, is a singer, songwriter, and TV host. He started his music career after meeting Don Jazzy in London, who was at the time, trying to shot into limelight as a songwriter and producer.
