Tragedy has struck recently around Ikeji Arakeji, along Ilesa-Akure Expressway in Osun State where one person died while five were seriously injured in a fatal road accident.
The fatal road accident that claimed a life in Osun was said to be caused by over-speeding and wrongful overtaking
From what we learnt, the accident happened last Thursday and was reportedly caused by wrongful overtaking and violation of speed limit, involving a truck and a car, along the route.
The road crash was confirmed by Agnes Ogungbemi, who happens to be the Public Education Officer of Federal Road Safety Corps in Osun State. Also, in another shocking story, a group of young men suspected to be yahoo boys lost their lives recently after they were chased to death by men of the joint task force in Osun State.
The Public Education Officer disclosed that the accident happened after wrongful overtaking by one of the vehicles going towards Akure, ultimately leading to the driver losing control of the vehicle.
Ogungbemi further said that the corpse of the victim that died from the accident had been deposited at the Wesley Guild Hospital in Ilesha by men of the FRSC patrol team and the Osun State Ambulance Scheme. Also, the injured ones were taken to receive medical treatment at the same hospital.
