According to what we learnt, an estimated 1,751 Subaru cars were driven by their owners, breaking the 2015 feat which witnessed the attendance of 549 cars. This event wasn't the first time we would witness the gathering of cars of that magnitude. not too long ago, over 200 Lamborghini supercars paraded Yokohama street on Lamborghini day 2018.

The idea behind the initiative of such massive auto gathering is to combat hunger in the US

Usually, tickets would be sold to the participants, but this year’s seemed to be a bit different. Instead, the attendees were asked by the company to make a donation to Feeding America. The proceeds from the donation will be given out to two local food banks known as Second Harvest Orange County and Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. The amount generated from this event would be used to provide as much as 241,800 meals for those in dire need. The auto company will also add its own contribution, rounding it up to 500,000 meals.

The initiative is part of the collaboration between Feeding America and Subaru in making provision for 50 million meals to people affected by the deadly virus.

This 2020 Subiefest wasn’t only about feeding the people in the country. It was also used as an avenue to preview Subaru’s second-generation BRZ sportscar.
