Oba Abdul-Rasheed Adewale Akanbi was born on June 21, 1967, in Iwo.
He was approved as King of Iwoland by the former Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, in November 2015. He is the 16th Oluwo of Iwo land in Osun state. If you've been wondering why he travels a lot, especially to Canada, it's simply because he lived there before becoming Oluwo of Iwoland, it's also where he met his ex-wife, Chanel Chin.

The King also obtained a B.Sc. in Business Administration, from George Brown College, Toronto, Ontario. Apart from having this cool profile, you might also be pleased to know that the Oluwo of Iwoland can speak four languages: Yoruba, English, Deutsche (German), and French.
