For this year 2019, the ultimate search to crown Nigeria’s Car of the Year has begun a few weeks ago, but surprisingly; the huge list of nominated cars has now been narrowed down to just 3 popular models which are the Toyota Corolla, GAC GS4 and the Hyundai Tucson.

The Toyota Corolla, GAC GS4 and Hyundai Tucson makes the top 3 models contending for Nigeria’s Car of the year 2019

These 3 vehicles were nominated by the organizers of the yearly Nigerian automobile industry event last week, thus making the competition now become a battle between 3 different Asian automobile manufacturing nations – China, Korea and Japan. See details in brief highlight below;

  • Toyota Corolla models – made in Japan by Toyota Motor Corporation
  • GAC GS4 – made in China by Guangzhou Automobile Group Co Limited
  • Hyundai Tucson – made in Korea by Hyundai Motors

Despite the currently harsh Nigerian economy, one of these three car models will definitely stand out this year and be crowned by stakeholders at this year’s “Nigeria Auto Industry Award” in Lagos on the 17th of December 2019 as Nigeria’s Car of the year.
