Did you follow the 2019 Frankfort Motor Show? It was spectacular! We have compiled a list of the 9 hottest cars that wowed us. Take a look at them!

The 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show may have come to an end, but memories from the show linger. Car lovers were treated to great entertainment – watching their favorite cars in their element. Every moment of the show was a hit back to back. The fun was so much that, if wishes were horses, it would continue unending. But sadly, whatever has a beginning, has an end. The curtains of the show finally fell, with many of us already looking forward to next year’s edition.

Come along with Naijauto as we reminisce on the 9 hottest cars at 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show. Your favorite might make the list, you never can tell.

1. Land Rover Defender

We may not all be a fan of Land Rover, but it is hard to not acknowledge the awesomeness of the Land Rover Defender. It is one of those cars that you cannot hate but love. As if the “follow come” design was not enough, the automaker made provision for users to order a factory model having a bench seat in front, steel wheels and an adventurous gear. Making it even merrier, Land Rover offers a handful of factory settings in the package.

2. Porsche Taycan

Porsche gave its esteemed customers all over the world a new offering – an all-electric car in the Porsche Taycan. The German automaker was very much aware of the high stakes it was setting with such a ride, and it went all out to make it worth the effort.

Although the Taycan makes a strong case on the market, it is lagging behind in two major areas especially when compared to major electric brands like Tesla S. The first area is price. The Taycan is sold at a costly rate, making it impossible for many people to afford it. The other area is range. Tesla’s model S offers better range.

3. Lamborghini Sian

Lamborghini Sian may be all angles, regardless, it works just fine. Showcasing its exclusivity, Lamborghini is producing only 63 units of the Sian. Wondering about the price? At this point, the price is not necessary because all the 63 units have been sold even before they are ready. This is not a surprise especially as the Sian is the very first hybrid to be produced by Lamborghini. It offers distinctive features including a 48 volt motor fixed in the gearbox area, adding 34 horsepower, producing a total of 819 horses in the Sian.

Several hybrid tricks abound in the hood of the Sian. According to reports making the rounds, the automaker has no plans of adding hybrid technology to its current lineup. Instead, it may consider electrifying future models.

4. Volkswagen ID.3

The Volkswagen ID.3 is set to rival cars that share similarities with it like the Chevrolet Bolt EV and Nissan Leaf. However, since these cars are not jumping off dealership parking lots in high numbers at this time, Volkswagen intends to sell the ID.3 in a market that is hatchback friendly before it will bring crossovers, electrified SUVs and perhaps vans to stores.

Features of the Volkswagen ID.3 include a mile range of 200 plus and 420 kilometers.

Audiences at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show got to see the Honda E, an all-electric hatchback in full flesh. For the first time, it made an appearance as a production car. Before now, all that was seen of it was a prototype. The Honda looked just as awesome in person as it did in prototype.

8. Hyundai 45

Just as many envisaged, Hyundai’s 45 EV concept takes us into the future of Pony Coupe concept, Hyudai’s first concept car. Although the 45 EV would have looked better as an SUV in terms of proportions and height, it still does not look bad the way it is.
